"The City of Ogdensburg New York has been an exceptional location for our first venture into manufacturing in the USA. The City support, as well as the support from state agencies, was very helpful in cutting through red tape and the unknowns associated with running a business in a new country. Their interest in our operation and its challenges has been ongoing, and they truly attempt to factor the needs of local industry into their short and long range planning."

"Mitel was the first industry to locate in the OBPA's Port of Ogdensburg Commerce Park. In April of 1975 Mitel's U.S. operation started up in a 10,000 sq. ft. facility; by September of '80, an additional_‰ Ð_© expansion wa^Ø mpleted and July '91 brought the completion of Mitel U.S. Repair-Operations at R & D, consisting of 20,000 sq. ft. Mitel now occupies 50,000 sq. ft. of space in Commerce Park and employs over 250.
We've got a very senior workforce here, a lot of 10 and 15 year employees. That experience pays off every day. Everybody pulls together and we get the job done meeting our customers requirements. I just couldn't ask for a better workforce."
